fall flowers and a pumpkin

I had the opportunity to work on some fall-themed florals recently for a dinner at my church.  It was lots of fun, and I love fall colors!  Plus, I got to use a pumpkin!  I've been wanting to do an arrangement like this for a while, but well, you just can't do this any time of year but fall!  And, as long as I had the flowers, I did a little bouquet as well.

Happy Fall everyone!

  1. Did you put a vase inside the pumpkin or can you pour water straight into the pumpkin with flowers? Or do I need to use a green sponge thing? Looks gorgeous, thanks!

    1. I just used floral foam (I think the green sponge thing you mentioned), but it does make the pumpkin get mushy and gross after a couple days. So if you want it to last longer, you could put a vase inside, or possibly even line it with plastic and then put the floral foam in.
